Children of the American Revolution to Meet in Liberty LIBERTY, August 2, 2010 - Nearly 70 members of the Texas Society, Children of the American Revolution will visit Liberty on August 6-7 for their Summer Workshop. They will be staying locally in area motels, and dining at various Liberty establishments. Their formal workshop will be held at the Governor's Mansion, on the Sam Houston Regional LIbrary and Archives. They will have a docent's tour of the grounds as well as a car trip to various Liberty historical buildings. Attendees are coming from Wichita Falls, Dallas, Ft. Worth, Lufkin, San Antonio and the greater Houston area. The Society's membership is open to both boys and girls who can trace their direct descendence from an American Revolution Patriot. The group is being hosted by the Kalita Chapter, NSCAR and the Libertad Chapter, NSDAR.
