Accident US 90 near Bowie Street

LIBERTY, May 5, 2010 - A two-vehicle accident occurred on US 90 in front of the O’Reilly Auto Parts store in Liberty around 5:30 PM on Wednesday.

According to Officer Brandon Wakefield with the City of Liberty Police Department, a green Dodge pickup traveling west on US 90 attempted a left turn into the O’Reilly’s parking and was struck by an eastbound Ford Crown Victoria in the Eastbound lane.

City of Liberty EMS responded to the scene and checked the occupants of the vehicles for injuries.

Luckily no one required transport to the hospital by ambulance.

Only one of the eastbound lanes of US 90 was open to traffic during the investigation and clean up of this accident.

According to Officer Wakefield all vehicles were insured.

There were no citations issued in the accident.
