Traffic Stop Yields Drug Arrest

LIBERTY, April 21, 2010 - Shortly before 10:00 PM on Tuesday DPS Trooper Boyd Lamb initiated a traffic stop on pickup on US 90 at Alabama Street in Liberty.

According to Trooper Lamb the driver of the pickup seemed very nervous as well have having a suspended driver’s license.

The driver of the pickup was identified as Preston Earl Bone, Jr. age 40 of Votaw, TX.

After receiving consent to search his vehicle, Trooper discovered marijuana inside a cigarette box in the cab of the pickup.

Bone was transported to the Liberty County Jail on charges of Driving While License Invalid and Possession Marijuana.
