Major Accident on US 90 East of Liberty LIBERTY, August 18, 2010 - Shortly after 8:00 PM on Wednesday a major accident occurred on US 90 near Liberty Recycling near the top of the Ames Hill on the east side of town.
A westbound, blue, Ford Pickup was attempting a left turn into the driveway of Liberty Recycling and turned directly into the path of an eastbound, silver, Honda sedan carrying a Dayton family according to City of Liberty Police Officer Jeanne Ewing who investigated the accident.
The driver of the Honda was Robert Pattella age 46 of Beaumont. The passengers in the vehicle were his wife, Whitney Pattella age 38 and a six year old child.
All three were transported by City of Liberty EMS to Liberty Regional Medical Center for treatment.
City of Liberty Police Officers attempted to perform a Field Sobriety Test on Anthony Louviere. However, Louviere was unable to stand and fell over twice, having to a caught by the Officers before being placed in a patrol vehicle or transport and read his Miranda Rights.
According to the DPS Crime Records Service Anthony Louviere has four previous convictions for Driving While Intoxicated.
Tonight he was charged again with DWI and transported to the Liberty County Jail.
