Additional Target Letters Served

LIBERTY, December 16, 2009 - Today Department of Justice Officials served an additional target letter to individuals in Liberty County in addition to the ones served yesterday. The target letters are a part of the investigation surrounding the clean up of debris in Liberty County after Hurricane Ike.

i-dineout.com spoke with Liberty County Commissioner Pct. 2, Lee Groce who was served with a target letter yesterday.

Groce said, “I’m thankful I received the letter so that it will give me the opportunity to explain the questions that surround this whole incident pertaining to Liberty County Pct. 2. I’m relieved that I did receive the letter and I’m tired of accusations that continue to come out without ever being questioned by the Attorney General’s Office or the Office of Inspector General that I have been willing to discuss with them for the last nine months.”

Sources tell us those served with target letters today include:

Liberty County Judge, Phil Fitzgerald’s Secretary, Lisa Fregia

Those served yesterday were:

Liberty County Commissioner Pct. 2, Lee Groce
Liberty County Judge Phil Fitzgerald’s Brother-in-Law, Mark Miksch
