| TVE 2009 Rodeo Queen Contestants
LIBERTY, October 11, 2009 - As part of the judging for the TVE Rodeo Queen contest for this year, contestants gathered at Mas Amigos in Liberty and introduced themselves to the judges give speeches and answering questions about horsemanship as part of the contest.

There are six contestants this year and here’s a little bit about each one.

Left to Right, Lesleigh Flora, Kayla Slankard, Reining Queen Kadie Jo Sebek, Chelee Morgan, Ally DeMent, Morgan Ericson
Morgan Ericson is 16 years old and the daughter of Steven and Kenya Ericon. She is ajUnoir at Hardn High School and a member of the 4:h and FFA. Morgan volunteers at the Dayton Vet Clinic and enjoys riding horses. She plans to attend Texas A & M University and beomce a large animal veterinarian.
Chelee Morgan is the 18 year old daughter of Raymond & Chelne Barrett and a 2009 graduate of Tarkington High School. She is presently attending Angelina College in Lufkn where she is pursuing her dream of becoming a radiologist. She enjoys both riding and training horses.
Lesleigh Flora is 16 years old and the daughter of Roy & Cheryl Flora. She attends Dayton High School and is a member of the band, FFA, NHS, Youth for Christ and plays tennis. She is active in church youth dramas, children’s church and worship team. She plans to beomce a veterinarian.
Ally DeMent is the daughter of Dawn & the late Mike DeMent and is 17 years old. She attends Dayton High School where she is a member of FFA. Some of her favorite things to do are participating in halter classes, horsemanship, showmanship and learning how to team pen. She will be majoring in biology at Texas A & M University.
Kayla Slankard is the 16 year old daughter of Christie and Gerald Weaver and Brandon & Melanie Slankard. She attends Hardin High School and is a member of 4-H. She enjoys barrel racing and mounted 4-H drill team.
Emalee Diehl is the daughter of Darrrell & Lori Diehl and is 16 years old. She attends Hardin High School and is a member of the band, FFA and the Liberty County Mounted 4-H Drill Team. She participated in the State 4-H Horse Show, Cleveland Livestock Show & Dairy Days and the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. She enjoys rodeos and horse shows.
