Truck Collides with Utility Pole in Liberty
LIBERTY, October 29, 2009 - An accident occurred on Grand Ave. near San Jacinto Street that badly damaged a red pickup around 12:41 PM on Thursday.

According to Officer Jennifer Bowles of the City of Liberty Police Department a red Dodge Pickup was traveling north of San Jacinto Street and executed and left turn traveling west on Grand Ave.

The driver of the pickup identified as Camellia Ann Keck age 65 of Dayton took a wide sweeping turn, jumped the curb and collided with a utility pole.

The pickup suffered major damage but Keck was not injured and refused transport to the hospital by responded Liberty EMS ambulance.

A telephone box near the bottom of the police suffered damaged and responding telephone repairmen quickly replaced the damaged box. Luckily telephone service was not interrupted as a result of the accident.
The utility pole was very new having been replaced after hurricane Ike damaged the old pole that was there.
According to Officer Bowles citations in the accident are a matter of the continuing investigation by the department.
