Speeding Driver Arrested taken to Jail KENEFICK, August 8, 2009 - Late Friday night as Kenefick Police Officers were at the Police Station in Kenefick they noticed an older model Chevy pickup pass the station at excessive speed. They attempted to locate and stop the vehicle but it was going too fast and could not be located.
After Officer returned to the station the vehicle came by a second time at high speed.
Officer pursued the vehicle all the way from Kenefick on FM 1008 to near North Winfree Street in Dayton before the vehicle stopped. The driver of the vehicle was identified at James Johnson age 28 of Kenefick. During the pursuit from Kenefick to Dayton Officers noticed that the vehicle could not maintain a single lane, was passing in a no passing zone and was speeding. Officers Travis Sulas and Bill Marks conducted the investigation into the incident and Johnson was arrested on Traffic Offenses and transported to the Liberty County Jail. |
