Truck Crashes into Building on Wallisville Road

LIBERTY, October 30, 2009 - Shortly before noon on Friday a red pickup traveling south on Wallisville Road (FM 563) left the roadway to the left, crossed a yard and collided with a building in the 500 block of Wallisville Road.

According to Officer Birdwell of the City of Liberty Police Department the driver of the vehicle was Brent Hutchins, thought to be in his twenties, of Liberty.

City of Liberty EMS responded and checked the driver of injuries. The driver refused transport by ambulance to the hospital.

Both the truck and the building suffered considerable damage as a result of the accident.

According to Officer Birdwell the driver will be issued a citation for Failure to Control Speed.
