NSDAR Hosts Magnolia Regent's Council

LIBERTY, October 15, 2009 - Libertad Chapter, NSDAR recently hosted the semi-annual Magnolia Regent’s Council. This group of current and past DAR Regents is drawn from three divisions in the state of Texas. The purpose of the group is to dessiminate information from the State offices through the chapters, and to provide a mentor group for new officers.

The group was honored by having Texas State Regent Joy Dabney Hagg present for her first official appearance since her installation in Washington, D.C., during the summer.

The newly elected officers were installed by Mrs. Hagg. They are as follows: President: Patricia Forrest, Daniel Witcher, Jasper; Vice President: Linda Cansler, Col. George Moffatt, Beaumont: Chaplain: Nancy Kerr Brandli, Libertad, Liberty; Secretary: Cindy Rucker, Jane Long, Pasadena; Treasurer: Melanie Nolan, James Tull, Humble; Historian: Cindy Rasch, Lady Houston, Kingwood.
