One Vehicle Accident in Moss Bluff

MOSS BLUFF, December 17, 2008 - Liberty County EMS and the Hull Daisetta Volunteer Fire Department responded to a one vehicle accident on CR 133N about two miles from FM 563, south of Liberty around 4:20 PM on Wednesday.

The driver of the late model pickup was Lois L. Whalen age 51 of Hardin, TX.

Liberty County EMS transported Whalen to Liberty Dayton Community Hospital in Liberty suffering from a minor head injury.

According to DPS Trooper Kevin Hussey, Whalen was traveling north on CR 133N at an unsafe speed for the road conditions. As her vehicle entered a left hand curve it slid off the recently paved roadway into the ditch and struck a tree causing sever damage to the front left portion of her vehicle.

According to Trooper Hussey, Whalen was issued citations for Unsafe Speed and an Expired Driver’s License.
