Local Attorney Arrested for DWI

LIBERTY, June 18, 2008 - Motorists traveling south on SH 146 north of Liberty early Wednesday evening reported to authorities that they observed a late model, black, Lincoln Town Car traveling south all over the road.

Officer Frank Longoria of the City of Liberty Police Department was dispatched to intercept the vehicle on Main Street. Longoria caught up to the vehicle just south of the Cash America Pawn Shop on Main Street and observed the vehicle driving erratically. Officer Longoria affected a traffic stop and the vehicle pulled over in the parking lot of the Verizon Cell Phone Store.

Officer Longoria questioned the driver of the vehicle identified as Personal Injury Attorney, Glenn Vickery age 69 of Hull, TX. and administered a standardized field sobriety test. According to Officer Longoria, Vickery performed poorly on the test.

According to Longoria, Vickery stated that he takes prescription medication for pain.

Four prescription bottles were found in Vickery’s pocket during a search prior to his arrest.

Vickery was arrested on charges of Driving While Intoxicated and transported to Liberty Dayton Community Hospital where a blood sample was obtained then booked into the Liberty County Jail.
