Deputies Recover Property, Make Arrests

KENEFICK, October 3, 2008 – The Liberty County Sheriff’s Department was notified of the theft of an electric transformer by three men on PR 6445 in Kennewick around 3:30 PM on Thursday afternoon.

Deputies Robert Dunn and Jonathan Clark responded to the location but the three men had gone by the time they arrived.

A short search of the area by Deputies located the three men with the transformer only a few blocks away.

	The three men, Luke W. Thornton age 25, Jason R. Guillory age 30 and Christopher L. Edwards age 25 were taken into custody, charged with Theft, a State Jail Felony and transported to the Liberty County Jail.

The transformer was the property of SHECO, an electric utility.
