Mistaken Man Arrested

LIBERTY, September 19, 2008 - Today a man thought to be the man who was shot in Hardin after trying to steal and air conditioner earlier in the week was apprehended by the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office.

This man had a wound similar to a gunshot but was not the same man.

It was during a traffic stop of a suspicious vehicle by an LCSO Deputy that John Lloyd Skinner age 30 of Liberty was arrested after finding a weapon in his vehicle. Skinner was charged with Felon in Possession of a Firearm and taken to jail.

Further investigation revealed that many of the items in Skinner’s vehicle were stolen.

Skinner was additionally charged with Burglary of a Habitation, Burglary of a Building and Felony Theft.
