LIBERTY, July 16, 2008 - According to Liberty Police Officer Jeanne Birdwell, around 3:50 PM on Wednesday a white Ford Mustang was observed by witnesses traveling eastbound weaving in and out of traffic.
Just inside the city limits of Liberty on US 90 in the River bottom, the actions of the driver of the Mustang caused a woman in a black Dodge Pickup to loose control of her vehicle and crash into a guardrail.
The Mustang, aware of the accident just kept on going followed by witnesses who stayed behind him and notified the City of Liberty Police Department. Officers were able to stop the Mustang and return the driver to the scene of the accident.
The driver of the Dodge pickup was identified as Sharon Asson age 48 of Dayton. Luckily no one was injured in the accident.

Richardson was taken into custody charged with Reckless Driving and Failure to stop and Give Information. He was transported to the Liberty County Jail.
