Pet Adoption Day
LIBERTY, December 5, 2008 -It's time again . . . Pet Adoption Day at the corner of Grand and Main Street on Saturday, December 13th.
The City of Liberty Animal Shelter has puppies and older dogs, cats and kittens. The goal is to find these abandoned animals good, loving homes instead of being euthanized. In lieu of an adoption fee you are asked to have the pet spayed or neutered to help minimize the overpopulation of unwanted animals.
This is a very special day as we will also be taking donations for our Humane Officer, Tammy Bishop Shellhammer, who lost all of her and her niece's personal belongings and her husband in a house fire December 1st.
