Missing Daisetta Man Found
DAISETTA, December 10, 2008 - Johnny Mobley age 59 of Daisetta was discovered missing around 6:03 AM on Sunday. He had last been seen at his home around 11:30 PM on Saturday night.
When family member arrived on Sunday morning they discovered his bedroom door had been barricaded with a mattress and Mobley had apparently gone out the window.
Mobley had recently undergone dialysis treatment and was taking medication which had caused him to have hallucinations.
Family members were concerned because of the cold temperature Saturday night and they were not sure what he was wearing.
The Hull Daisetta and Devers Fire Departments organized and search and a Deputy from the Liberty County Sheriff’s Department was dispatched to investigate along with a search dog from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Mobley was spotted and reported by the resident near the south end of Bobcat Lane in Daisetta around 12:30 PM on Sunday.
Family members had him transported to San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown for treatment of minor injuries.
