LCGS Meeting on July 26th
LIBERTY, July 10, 2008 - The Liberty County Genealogy Society is to meet July 26th, at 10 am at the Price Daniel Meeting Room behind the Partlow House at 2131 Grand Ave. The speaker for the workshop is Pam Walton, who wil speak on how to find newspapers, how to use/infer adidtional information from the contents, and how to get them without leaving home. Pam Walton is originally from Pennsylvania and moved to Kingwood, TX in 1994. Pam started researching her family roots while still in high school. She is currently serving as Vice President of the Joseph Underwood Society of the Colonial Dames of the 17th Century, travel and outreach coordinator for The Humble Area Genealogical Society, and a member of the Welcome Society of Pennsylvania. Her newspaper research tips were featured in Rootsweb newsletter in Jan 2008. Pam is a medical laboratory technician currently working for Woman’s Hospital of Texas.
