Price Gouging at Dayton EXXON on US 90 DAYTON, September 17, 2008 - The following FEEDBAK REPLY was sent in by a Citizen of Dayton. "The Exxon Station at the corner of Hwy 90 and Main St. in Dayton is price gouging it's customers who are in need of items after the storm. he wanted to charge me $30 dollars for some Gatorade and then when I told him he was price gouging, he raised the price to $35!!! The man behind me bought a pack of cigs for $8.39. Another man bought a 12 pack of beer for $40!!!! He gave me his name and cell number and told me to try and turn him in, HE WONT GET IN TROUBLE, HE CAN CHARGE WHAT HE WANTS! I turned him into the attorney general and a Dayton PD officer went to his store to tell him to stop treating his community with DISRESPECT! Please don’t give this store your hard earned money anymore!!! We are hoping the attorney general will shut him down or make him pay a HUGE fine!!! " According to the Dayton Police Department the conduct of the Store Owner has improved after Dayton PD Officers had what is describe as a, “Come to Jesus,” talk with the man.
