Wind and Rain Increase in Liberty LIBERTY, September 13, 2008 - At 2:32 AM on Saturday morning the winds are picking up considerably as Ike continues its northward march across Southeast Texas. We lost power at our home studio just west of the Post Office in Liberty around 2:00 AM and are working on a laptop powered by a generator with only a dial up connection. The winds are consistent and howling giving structures in Liberty a pounding. Blowing sheets of rain pound the sides of buildings. As wind speeds increase the howling become higher pitched. Although it is not a time to be outside you can we can crack the back door and hear large limbs in nearby trees cracking. It is a dangerous time to be in Liberty and I look forward to the passing of Ike sometime to tomorrow. Stay tuned for more reports as conditions change
