Status of FEMA Operations in Liberty County
LIBERTY, October 2, 2008 - Information from local FEMA Representative has been received by i-dineout.com regarding the number of people that have filed for FEMA assistance here in Liberty County.
These individuals filed using the hotline number of 1-800-621-3362. Below you will find the amount of money that FEMA has approved so far.
NUMBERS SUPPLIED BY FEMA:
• Over 13,000 Liberty County registrants
• Almost $3 million in Housing Assistance approved.
• Over $187,000 approved for Other Needs Assistance (medical, transportation, person property assistance)
Liberty County is still waiting on the Disaster Recovery Centers to open, I know that the individuals responsible for opening these locations, have arrived in the county so I hope we see these centers open soon.
