Letter From Constable Pct. 2, Mike Parrish DAISETTA, December 3, 2007 - While it has indeed been a privilege, a pleasure and an honor to serve the citizens of Liberty County, during my tenure in the Office of Liberty County Pct #2 Constable, I will not be seeking re-election. I wish to thank all of those who have supported the office, and I, since my appointment in May 2006 and I've thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the community in a law enforcement role. In June 2006, I was fortunate enough to be one of three founding members of Willow Street Entertainment Group, LLC which has produced its first album. The album is entitled "Mike Parrish - Texas in the Man" and is quickly becoming recognized in the music industry. The album has been launched on Napster and Apple iTunes, as well as other music download services and is beginning to receive radio airplay throughout the world since its release in September 2007. Dixie Vornbrock, of Triple Strand Productions, recently notified us that one of the singles, "Blue Jean Baby," had made the European Country Music Charts in Spain coming in at #33. That information was received with great anticipation of future events and was very humbling considering that artists such as Asleep at the Wheel (32), Pam Tillis (34), Mark Chesnutt (38) and Billy Currington (39) were on the same charts. We realize this is only the beginning as we seek continued success for this album and future projects. We just returned, this past weekend, from a very successful radio tour throughout Northern Louisiana, (Logansport - Winnfield - Marksville) where we just happened to be when we learned that our single had made the European Charts. I believe that the showing in the charts may be a direct result of the "Blue Jean Baby" success after winning Track of the Week on the International Fame Games Radio Contest hosted in Europe and aired on Onda Cero Radio in Spain. That single, along with the title track "Texas in the Man," set many records on that particular show and we gained quite a European following. Both of those songs made it to the shows Main Edition and they were the only two tracks that we submitted. You can find out more about that contest and see our entries at www.meermusic.com. We're excited about the successes we've had in such a short time and, rather than seek re-election to the office of Constable, it is my belief that the office and the people will be better served by a full-time Constable. Therefore, it's my intention to work in the music industry full-time and support law enforcement and Liberty County in another manner. If you'd like to learn more about what we're doing you can check out our web site at www.mikeparrish.us where you'll find numerous links, stories, music, photos, calendar, etc as well as album purchase information. In closing, although I still have the remainder of this term to serve, I wish to thank the citizens of Liberty County for making this such a great place to live and work. Thanks so very much for all the support we've received and continue to receive while finishing this term. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity you all provided me to become an active part of Liberty County law enforcement during my terms as Daisetta Police Chief and Liberty County Pct #2 Constable. Yours Truly, Michael C. "Mike" Parrish, Liberty County Pct #2 Constable
