Deadlines for Democratic Primary Election
LIBERTY, December 27, 2007 - The Table below is a timeline of upcoming activities and deadlines associated with the Democratic Primary Election to be held in March 2008 released today by Liberty County Democratic Party Chairperson, Nancy Archer.

Jan. 2
Last day to file for office. 6pm deadline, Last day for candidate to withdraw from ballot, Last day fro a write-in candidate to file declaration of candidacy
Jan. 4
Last day to to file due to a withdrawal or vancy in office, First day to receive applications for ballots voted by mail
Jan. 10
Democratic Executive meeting to draw for place on ballot 6pm
Jan. 19
1st day to mail out ballots by mail
Feb. 4
Last day to register to vote in primary
Feb. 19
Early voting begins
Feb. 29
Early voting ends
March 4
Primary Election day
March 13
County Executive committee must canvass returns of election 6:05pm
The Democratic Party will meet in Executive session on January 10, 2008 at 6:00 PM in The County Court of Law in the Liberty County Courthouse in Liberty to draw for positions on the ballot.
