Gas Prices Increase Slightly
HOUSTON, November 30, 2006 - Texas gas prices in most areas increased by about a penny over the past week.
The current Texas statewide average price for self-serve regular gasoline is $2.124 a gallon, up by 1.6 cents in the last week.
"Just before Thanksgiving, wholesale gasoline prices significantly spiked without any apparent cause," said AAA Texas spokeswoman Rose Rougeau. "However, wholesale prices have eased since then without having much impact on motorists."
The national average for regular self-serve gasoline is $2.247 — a weekly increase of 1.4 cents.
