According to Vermillion, SD officials, Brady was fined $350 and had his driving privileges in the state of South Dakota were suspended for 30 days as a result of the plea. Brady was originally pulled over on October 7 during the University of South Dakota’s homecoming weekend for a problem with the taillights on his truck when the officer smelled alcohol and administered sobriety tests, according to police reports. Brady was in town to receive a distinguished alumni award. Brady serves the 8th Congressional District of Texas which includes all of Montgomery, Walker, Polk, San Jacinto, Tyler, Jasper, Newton, Hardin, and Orange counties as well as portions of Trinity and Liberty counties.
