Five Weeks and Counting HOUSTON, November 11, 2005 - Texas motorists are continuing to enjoy falling pump prices for the fifth consecutive week, according to AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch. The statewide average price for a gallon of regular self serve is $2.273 a gallon a weekly decrease of 11 cents. This week, Beaumont has the highest average on the survey at $2.395 down 12 cents in a week. Corpus Christi dropped 6 cents to have the lowest average on the list at $2.109 a gallon. "Gasoline prices are falling steadily throughout the nation due to reduced demand and rising inventories," said Rose Rougeau, spokesperson for AAA Texas. "Unless there is a disruption in the availability of gasoline, prices are expected to continue to drop throughout the Thanksgiving holiday. The national average for regular self-serve gasoline is $2.352 a gallon that's 10 cents less than last week's average. Average Daily Prices as of 12:01 A.M., November 11, 2005:
