City of Liberty Prepares for Flooding

LIBERTY March 30, 2018 ⎯ The City of Liberty is closely monitoring the Trinity River as it rises.  With the heavy rains and the current dam release, the river is forecasted to reach 29 feet at the Trinity River bridge on Saturday.  The City is also monitoring the levee daily along with the pumps at Main A and Main B, and they are read to pump water if necessary.  The City is expecting flooding in the South Liberty Oilfield and parts of the Southwest portion of the city.  We will have city crews and emergency personnel ready to respond to rising water as needed.
