DAYTON, December 16, 2011 – Today marked the ribbon cutting for the opening of Winfree Street from Cleveland Street to Waring Street in the City of Dayton. The completion of this major street improvement project marks the end of inconvenience for homeowners along Winfree and a great improvement to transportation in Dayton. Members of the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, the Liberty Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce, Dayton City Government and citizens of Dayton gathered on Winfree Street at Kay Street around 2:00 PM to hold a ribbon cutting and open the newly improved street to traffic.

LIBERTY, June 14, 2011 - Liberty County Commissioners Court extended the burn ban until June 28th and also passed an order prohibiting the sale or use of fireworks classified as " skyrockets with sticks " and "missiles with fins".

This is all due to the extremely dry conditions and residents are urged to use caution when using fireworks this upcoming Fourth of July.

Just for your information, if you are going up to Lake Livingston for the holiday weekend, authorities in San Jacinto County have issued a total ban on fireworks.
