Christmas is a Great Time for a Parade LIBERTY, November 29, 2005 - The Country Christmas Lighted Parade in Liberty on Tuesday drew an enthusiastic crowd to Travis Street as the parade moved south toward Sam Houston Street. The weather was cool, clear and mild for this year’s event making watching the parade from the sidewalk or the tailgate great. There were lighted wagons, floats, marching bands and twirlers. The darkness was punctuated with the occasionally twirler with a fire baton marching in front of area high school bands. Christmas is certainly a time for children and families joined along the parade route to watch all the lighted floats and get a glimpse of Santa Claus.
Among the several floats and wagons was one carrying local democrats getting ready for the upcoming election season. The parade was an enjoyable diversion and organizers are to be congratulated. Click on Thumbnails below to view larger image.
